My name is Ian Graham, and as the owner and operator of Road Light Driver Training, you will be learning to drive with me and will not be assigned to learn with an unknown driving instructor as part of a multi car or franchised diving school.
My driving lessons cater from complete beginners all the way up to pupils desiring to take an advanced driving test. You will receive excellent quality driving tuition at very competitive rates.
As a fully independent driving instructor, my lessons provide me with my only income!
As it's my own business and I teach in a very competitive market, I have to ensure that I have ongoing work and a constant supply of new pupil’s. So I make sure that I always teach to a high standard. I want my pupils to be able to tear up their L Plates in the shortest possible time.
I undertake regular training myself to make sure that my teaching is the best it can be. I’m honest with my pupils and I offer true value for money driving lessons.
My pupils are not made sit at the side of the road just talking for most of their lessons.
When booking with me, you are not paying just for the name on the top of my car. You are paying for me, and you know that it will be me that will be teaching you. The roads around Harwood have lots of challenging situations for you to consider such as, driving around the busy Morrisons Supermarket. Arthur Lane and Stich Mi Lane can be challenging, especially around school pick up and drop off times.
Roads with double parked cars also are common in all of Bolton, and Harwood is no exception. Harwood also has some very narrow roads to negotiate. During your own driving lessons with me you will be taught how to handle these challenging roads with skill and care.
Additionally, you will learn how to handle other things like pedestrian crossings, roundabouts large and small and major junctions. As your Driving Instructor I will ensure you are familiar with these areas on the lead up to your practical driving test. I will help you to build confidence and will guide you through all aspects of learning to drive.

"I enjoyed all of my lessons with Ian and he always explained everything well. He was always on time picking me up from both college and from home. I really liked the way Ian provided me with a reflective log at the end of each lesson. I knew what I needed to work on for the next lesson. We did lots of driving and only stopped to talk when absolutely necessary.
